ADIPS

The Amusement Device Inspection Procedures Scheme (ADIPS) is the fairground and amusement park industry’s self regulated safety inspection scheme which registers ride inspectors and the rides they inspect.

The scheme provides an official list of competent groups or individuals who provide inspection services in various engineering disciplines on fairground rides and amusement devices.

The purpose of the scheme is to promote and improve fairground and amusement park safety through rules and guidance relating to the independent inspection of amusement devices. It is supported by industry associations who require that their members use ADIPS registered Inspection Bodies.

These industry associations make up the policy setting body for ADIPS. This is the Amusement Device Safety Council (ADSC).

The scheme is managed by ADIPS Ltd. on behalf of the ADSC.   ADIPS Ltd. is a ‘not for profit’ company, which means any funds received are reinvested back into the industry to promote and enhance safety standards.
